فبدلًا من استرداد المبلغ النقدي كما هو معتاد، أصبح بإمكان الزبائن الآن التبرّع بهذا المبلغ مباشرةً لصالح منظمات خيرية مختارة.
كيف يعمل النظام الجديد؟
عند استخدام جهاز إعادة القوارير داخل المتجر، يظهر للعملاء على الشاشة خياران:
- استرداد القيمة النقدية بشكل عادي
- التبرع بالمبلغ كاملاً لصالح إحدى المبادرات الاجتماعية أو البيئية المعتمدة
بمجرد اختيار التبرع، يتم تحويل القيمة تلقائيًا دون أي تكلفة إضافية على الزبون.
أهداف متعددة وراء المبادرة
تقول إدارة Billa إن الهدف من المبادرة هو الدمج بين الوعي البيئي والالتزام المجتمعي. فإعادة التدوير لم تعد فقط خطوة لحماية البيئة، بل يمكن أن تصبح أيضًا وسيلة لدعم الأسر المحتاجة أو مشاريع التعليم أو البيئة.
“نريد أن نمنح العملاء الفرصة لفعل الخير بسهولة، حتى من خلال أبسط الأمور مثل إعادة الزجاجات”، تقول المتحدثة باسم المجموعة.

تشمل الجهات المستفيدة من التبرعات منظمات مثل:

وسيكون لكل فرع من فروع Billa مرونة في اختيار الجهة التي تُحول إليها التبرعات، بناءً على احتياجات المنطقة والمشاريع المتاحة.

Austrian supermarket chains Billa and Billa Plus have launched a new optional feature for customers using in-store reverse vending machines for bottles and cans:
Instead of receiving the deposit refund in cash, shoppers can now choose to donate that amount to a charitable cause.
How it works
When returning bottles or cans, the machine screen now presents two options:
- Standard cash refund
- Donate the entire amount to a selected nonprofit organization
Once the donation option is selected, the value is automatically transferred, with no extra charge for the customer.
Purpose and goals
Billa says the initiative aims to merge environmental responsibility with social engagement.
Recycling, the company argues, shouldn’t just be about reducing waste – it can also be a simple, everyday way to support families in need or environmental projects.
“We want to make doing good as easy as returning a bottle,” said a Billa spokesperson.
