One person was killed and another slightly injured in a collision between two trucks on Monday morning on the A2 Southern Motorway (Südautobahn) near Zöbern in the Neunkirchen district of Lower Austria, according to the Red Cross.
How the accident happened
The accident occurred at around 11:00. According to Philipp Gutlederer of the Lower Austria emergency call centre (Notruf Niederösterreich), one of the trucks is believed to have crashed into the rear of the other, leaving one of the drivers trapped in his cab.
